Atkins: Day 1
My wife and I are starting the Atkins diet today. My wife wants to loose some weight she put on during her pregnancy. I want to help her out and loose a little weight also. Its very hard for her to be on a diet when I'm there eating anything I want. Atkins says no caffeine during the induction phase so I have a massive Diet Coke habit to break also. I've been tapering off of the Diet Coke for a few days though so maybe that will help a little.
We are on the induction phase now. That means no more then 20 grams of carbs per day. We'll be eating a lot of meat and eggs plus some cheese, salad and a few other veggies.
My starting weight is 220.5 pounds. I'm trying to lose 25 to 30 pounds. I'm also planning on exercising and working out. I really want to have more energy so I can feel better and be able to keep up with my ever energetic baby girl.
